Recipe Box

Recipe boxes are made of wood and are used to organize the recipe cards. Recipe boxes may come with a hinged lid, a sliding lid or a roll over lid. The cover may also be made of acrylic or transparent glass. A standard recipe box should be able to hold 300 to 500 recipe cards. The cover of the recipe box may also have a slit on it, from which the card can be taken out without opening the box. The color of natural wood is mostly preferred in case of recipe boxes. However, brightly colored patterns and designs can also be printed or painted on these kitchen boxes. The price of these boxes depends on the quality of wood used to make them. Recipe boxes fitted with glass tops are pretty pieces of decoration. These boxes may or may not be divided into compartments, where the recipe cards can be sorted and stacked
