Art Bell
Art W. Bell III is an American broadcaster and author, known primarily as the founder and a long time host of a radio program called Coast to Coast AM . He was born on, June 17, 1945. Art Bell is not an ordinary talk show host, but he is a true radio activist and the ultimate media personality. Art Bell 's upbringing was unusually traditional. Art Bell was the son of a Marine Colonel father and a Drill Sergeant mother. Art Bell developed a taste for news and analysis at an early age.
By the age of 13 , Art Bell was an FCC licensed radio technician. A few years later, as a young airman Art Bell and his friend built their own pirate radio station, secretly broadcasting rock 'n' roll to enthusiastic locals.
As a civilian DJ, Art Bell brought in the Guinness Book of World Records for a 116 hour and 15 minutes solo broadcast marathon, by playing the hits on KSBK on Okinawa, Japan . Then he raised money in Alaska that allowed Art Bell to fly to Vietnam and rescue 130 Vietnamese Orphans stranded in Saigon at the war's end. They were finally all brought to America and adopted by American families.Art Bell became absorbed in the high tech world of cable television and for that reason his radio life had faded but not his radio love. Two weeks later he just as strangely returned to the air and restarted his broadcasts, only to retire from broadcasting in April 2000. When Art Bell returned to the air in 2001, he explicated that he had taken time to deal with personal family matters. In September of 2003, Art Bell became the regular weekend host on Coast to Coast AM .

The color of this gemstone ranges from a pale lilac to a black purple. The lighter amethysts are cheaper and more popular. If the stone is excessively heated, it changes to a yellow color.
The amethyst is a member of the quartz family. It occurs naturally as crystals within rocks. Amethysts have been found in Brazil, Sri Lanka, Uruguay, Madagascar, Zambia, Australia, Russian mountains and the United States of America. It is interesting that these precious gemstones have been discovered in ruins dating as far back as the ninth century.
Amethysts have for years been worn in pendants, rings, bracelets, earrings, brooches and pins. For the jeweler who works with amethysts, understanding subtleties of the stone is of utmost importance. He must respect its magnificent aesthetic allure as well as its healing powers, and cut and set it with discretion and skill.
Over the years, amethysts have been set in various metals and non metals. Their grace and beauty has been accentuated by placing them with various complimentary stones as well. Amethyst silver jewelry is one such specimen of the magic of gemstone jewelry.
