Agra
Agra- City of Agra is a world famous tourist spot. It is not only famous for the Taj Mahal, but is also known for Agra fort and Buland Darwaza. Numerous sites of historical importance are located near Agra. Agra not only attracts a large number of tourists from India and abroad every year, but it is also famous for its crafts.
Banaras
The city of Banaras is known for religious purposes. It is famous for its bathing ghats on the river Ganges and is an important Hindu pilgrim place. Banaras has its own craft traditions, which include; chikankari, glass beads, bronze sculptures, silk textiles and brocades, and meenakari.
Bhadohi
Hand knotted carpets from Bhadohi-Mirzapur belt in Uttar Pradesh are known for their Persian look and the imitation of intricate designs of the Mughal period. These carpets are not only in bright colors but they are full of detailed work. Hand knotted Aubusson or Floral carpets from Bhadohi are also famous. The entire surface or a large area of these carpets is decorated with intricate floral patterns.
Bhadohi is also known for Gabbeh carpets. These carpets portray the vibrant tribal traditions of our country. These carpets have 75% wool content and 25% cotton content in them.

Etawah is known for its exquisite brassware.
Ferozabad
Ferozabad is known for the production of glass bangles and utilitarian glassware. An entire community of skilled craftsmen is located here and is engaged in making high quality glassware. Ferozabad also produces fragile and lightweight glass beads.

Khamaria is known for the production of Gabbeh carpets
Khurja
Khurja is famous for its glazed ware. The speciality of the pottery from Khurja lies in the light relief work done on the surface of the items. Pottery from this place is known for floral patterns and use of warm shades like orange, brown, light red etc in glazing. Intricate floral designs and patterns in sky-blue color are generally done over a white background. Pottery from Khurja not only includes pots but is also known for good quality tableware, tea set, dinner-set, jugs, flower vase etc.
Lucknow
Lucknow is world famous for 'Chikan' embroidery. As Chikankari is usually done on fine cotton, Chikan sari and kurta make ideal summer wear. Different types of stitches are used in Chinkankari either individually or in combination. Satin stitch is commonly used, as it is suited for small motifs, which are influenced by designs and patterns from Mughal monuments. Chikan work is not only popular in India but it is also exported for making curtains and other furnishings.
Lucknow is known for its silver plated items, which are created by the repousse method. Low relief work can be seen on ornate boxes and other items.
Mainpuri
Mainpuri is famous for woodwork on ebony or black sheesham inlaid with brass wire.
Mathura
Mathura is known for its bronze sculpture making. Mathura is also popular for its production of lovely glass and wooden beads, which are strung together in various combinations in Rudraksh necklaces (necklaces used in ceremonies to praise Lord Shiva, made with a type of dried seeds).
Mirzapur
