Alwar:

Alwar is known for its wafer thin or kagsi pottery .

Barmer:

Barmer is well known for its carved furniture. Some furniture pieces like tables, low stools etc have miniature paintings on them. Carved wood items such as cabinets, screens, chairs, tables, almirahs, racks etc are highly ornate.

Bhilwara:

Bhilwara is famous for its folk painting or phad, which is done on cloth. Phad is a type of scroll painting. The main theme of these scroll paintings is the depiction of local deities and stories associated with erstwhile local chieftains. These paintings are created while using bright and subtle colors. The paintings depicting local deities are often carried from place to place and are accompanied by traditional singers, who narrate the theme depicted on the scrolls.

Bikaner:

Bikaner decorated leather saddles and 'kuppi' made of camel leather, carpets, and kundan work .

Jaipur:

Jaipur is the capital city of the state of Rajasthan. It is also known as the pink city. It was built in 1787 AD by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. The entire city is built on the grid pattern. The main attractions of Jaipur are: the walled city with all its havelis, fort, and numerous traditional bazaars within the walled city, parks and monuments. Rajasthan is said to be the main center for crafts in India, similarly Jaipur is the main craft center in Rajasthan. Jaipur is well known not only in India but also abroad for its vast range and variety in craft products .

Jaisalmer:

The city of Jaisalmer is known for its fort and numerous traditional havelis. It lies at the heart of the Thar Desert, yet it is not desolate, but bustling with life and activity. Jaisalmer is a well-known tourist location and is famous for its Desert Festival, which is celebrated in January/ February, every year. The main attraction of this festival is folk dances and local crafts. Jaisalmer produces craft items like decorated leather saddles, printing and stone jali work.

Jaisalmer is known for its traditional silver jewelry and embroidery. It is an important center for block printing and tie and dye work.
