Delhi

Delhi was the capital city of the Mughals. The craft traditions of Delhi have originated during the time of the Mughals. Delhi is the home of traditional blue pottery. Vases, pots, trays, bowls, dishes etc with exquisite patterns and floral designs are created here. The craftsmen of Delhi also make items of wood like, trays, tables, boxes etc using inlay work. During the Mughal era Delhi was known for Kundan and Meenakari jewellery. These days Delhi is only known for its meenakari as the art of kundan has died away.

Gujarat

Gujarat being on the western edge of India has been the main center of crafts activity since prehistorice times. Famous for its rich culture and hertige, Gujarat still maintains its past culture with a slight blend of modern art.
