Indian Iconography associates the image of fishes with fertility and procreation. The entwined bodies of the fishes reveal fervent union leading to procreation. Intricate linear designs have been made without using any colours. The background is bright red – the colour of vibrancy and energy. The traditional double border is decorated with figures of fishes, enhancing the overall effect of this excellent work of art.
