The origin of the Thangka paintings is deep rooted in India religious art. Thangka Paintings are actually the banner of Buddha and other auspicious and the embroidery is done on their banner. Thangka paintings are quite complicated and three-dimensional object. Thangka Paintings are decorated with the application of colors, gold, silk cover, leather corners, wooden dowel at the top and bottom. Thangka Painting is used for home décor as wall-hangings.
