India is a treasure trove full of precious decorative paintings. From the prehistoric ages, Indians have decorated their homes and hearth with beautiful paintings.The caves in Bhimbetka in Madhya Pradesh contains various paintings etched on its walls depicting men, animals, war, hunting etc. These are glimpses of their everyday world. It is said that these ancient Indians painted their walls to express themselves and also to decorate their surroundings. Wall paintings are also common with the tribes like Warli.
