It is said that the decorative embroidery art of mirror work was initiated and developed by Mumtaz, the wife of Shah Jahan. Since the time of the Moghuls the women of Gujurat have continued to use mirrors in their embroideries. The traditon is still a living force and breathes in this designer bedspread.
