Along with its picturesque beauty, Kashmir's exquisite handicrafts have provided it immense fame in the international arena.

Shawl weaving, carpet weaving, embroideries, woodcarving, and paper-machie are traditional crafts of Kashmir.

It is believed that shawl industry of Kashmir flourished immensely under Sultan Zain-Ul-Abidin in the 15th century.

Pashmina shawls, Kani Jawawars, and intricately embroidered dresses speak volumes of the finesses of Indian craftsmen and techniques.
